In the Field

Canadian Leopard C2s

Photographs by Bert Baumgartner.

When the Canadian army transports its equipment across the country it's largely done with commercial transport or by rail if the quantity of equipment being shipped is too large to go by truck. This was the first time Bert had seen Leopards being transported anywhere whether by truck or by rail. He found them on his way home from work parked at a truck stop on the TransCanada Highway in Headingley, Manitoba, March 2008. Note that one is in OPFOR colours and another has NATO colours on the skirts.
