The German Krauss-Maffei Wegmann factory have delivered the first Leopard 2A4 tanks, soon to start their service in Tata with the 25th György Klapka Rifle Brigade in Hungary.

The Leopard 2A4 tanks will be used for training purposes. Twelve have been leased by the Hungarian Armed Forces. This is in advance of the Hungarian Armed Forces ordering a total of 44 of the latest A7+ version which are all expected to be delivered by 2023.

The exact specifications are still unknown at this time (summer 2020).

Here they are seen on delivery followed by a fully-detailed walkaround. Apart from the attractive camo scheme, the only difference to the standard German 2A4 is the antenna and a mounting frame for something (currently unknown) on the blow-off panel behind the loader's hatch.
