Welcome to the Leopard Club!

Leopard Club is a website devoted to modelling the Leopard 1 and Leopard 2.

Run by Michael Shackleton, author of Leopard 1 Trilogy, and Dan Hay.

Leopard Club exists to promote more interest in our favourite post-war family of tanks. These tanks are very important in the overall history of military vehicles and have been woefully neglected by the plastic model industry. Hopefully, we might influence a mainstream model company to produce a new-tool Leopard 1 family and a good-quality early Leopard 2 to accompany Tamiya's lovely Leopard 2A5 and 2A6. We can but try! In fact, since we started in April 2013, Meng and Takom have both produced Leopard 1 kits, so maybe we have had some small influence.

Leopard Club produces the following:

LeopardFIBEL is a downloadable, pay-as-you-go, series of articles about specific Leopard models in PDF format. This will build into an exhaustive study of 1:35 scale Leopards.

Leopard FACT FILE is a downloadable, pay-as-you-go, series of PDF articles about the real beast and also about Leopard modelling in general - rather than the specific subjects of Leopardfibel. This will complement Leopardfibel with actual facts and photos of the full size and 1.35 scale Leopard 1 and 2 families.

Leopard LISTS - Dan Hay's exhaustive listings of all Leopard modelling products and books/reference material.

Leopard WORKSHOP - with YOUR co-operation and if there is enough interest in what we are trying to do - will promote small run conversion and accessory pieces for all things Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 in co-operation with established companies. We already produce decal sheets and resin accessories.

Leopard Club REVIEWS gives our opinions about relevant model products.

Leopard Club SHOP sells Leopard-related accessories, kits and books.

SPOTLIGHT is a walkaround study of Leopards which is building all the time.

And don't forget TRACKPAD PUBLISHING www.trackpadpublishing.com for Leopard books including new titles.
